Longtime Judge and Peace Activist Dies At 93 – Judge Raymond Uno was Utah’s First Minority Judge

SALT LAKE CITY – Raymond S. Uno, retired Third District Court judge and nationally recognized civil rights and peace activist, died peacefully in his sleep on March 8, 2024, under the incredible care of the Veteran’s Hospital in Salt Lake City.
 
Uno, who was Utah’s first minority judge, is survived by his wife Yoshiko and
his five sons, Tab (Bobby), Kai (Sheri), Mark (Kris), Sean, and Lance; grandkids Drue, Taylor, Summer, Sam, KT, and Jax.

Judge Uno was a long-time supporter and a member of the CRWDA Advisory Board.
